JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to release 21 detainees from various jails of the state before Eid festival after revoking the Pub "The government is releasing 21 detainees from various jails before or on eve of Eid as a goodwill gesture in Jammu and Kashmir. The PSA against them will be revoked after completing court formalities, " a senior police official said. In this direction, a high-level screening committee met here and cleared the cases of the detainees in connection with PSA for their minor involvements in militancy, he said. The screening panel, which includes Union Home Ministry's Joint Secretary S Sikandan, state DGP J-K Kuldeep Khuda, Home Commissioner Anil Goswami, DG CID J-K Ashok Bhan, cleared the list after taking into consideration their behaviour during the detention period and their past records. Governor N N Vohra has also cleared the list of the detainees for their release. "Court cases are being finalised for revoking PSA and they are likely to be released today or tomorrow," the official said. |

How is this possible ,we are not in the mughal era now that prisoners are released on ED or the emperors birthday,have never known criminals getting pardon and being released from prison on deepawali,holi, ganesh ashtami.
