Miscreants ransack Kanyakumari RSS Office, torch it

Tense situation prevailed at Chettikulam, in Kanyakumari district, after the RSS Office was ransacked and set on fire by some unidentified miscreants on Thursday (17-7-2009) night.  Security has been tightened in the area.  According to police, two unidentified persons had stormed into the RSS Office, situated at Chettikulam Vinayaka Temple Street, on Thursday night and attacked the office-in-charge, Nagarajan.  They poured the kerosene inside the office and set it on fire before fleeing.  Documents, papers and some furniture at the office were damaged by fire.  It is suspected that the attack could be an act of vengeance by a youth, who was handed over to the police when he was found recording an RSS procession in March, on his mobile phone.
